We held our annual Easter Holiday Club in the first week of the Easter School Holidays. 87 children booked in over 4 mornings and a great time was had by all the children. The theme this year was ‘Go Global’ which explored the start and growth of the church worldwide. The children explored this through bible stories looking at ‘the 5 Ps’, – Peter, Paul, Philip, People & Pentecost, and Eric (the puppet) explored becoming a Christian for himself.

Each day there was a drama, games, craft, storytelling, a visit to the club café and a time to go wild on the giant inflatable obstacle course. We also explored Christian charities and made chocolate Easter gifts for Open Hands, a Christian Charity in Leicester, to give to children and families who are struggling.

The week ended with a Good Friday All Age Service where the Holiday Club children were able to show their parents the club theme song and hear more about Good Friday and Jesus’ sacrifice for us. This was followed by a fish and chip lunch where 100 of us, Holiday Club children, their families and Holiday Club volunteers, enjoyed lunch together followed by an Easter Egg hunt and a game of rounders.
