There’s something for everyone on a Sunday at St Luke’s. The styles may vary, but all of our services are about God’s people gathering together to be reminded of His goodness, sing His praise, and listen to His Word. Come along, grab a coffee, and join us for any of them – you will be very welcome, whether you’ve been a Christian for years, or are simply wanting to explore faith for yourself. At the heart of all that we do is the conviction that God speaks whenever the Bible is opened and preached – and this is reflected in the shape of all of our services at St Luke’s.
Fresh coffee and refreshments are available from half an hour before all our services begin, so why not come a little earlier and tell us about your week? Or just come and have a look round before making any decision about staying? Fellowship is a really important part of our church life and we would love to share that with you. Refreshments are available throughout our services and afterwards too – and even biscuits! We sometimes have cake too…
At 8.45am we have a more traditional Church of England Service with organ-led hymns.
10.45am is the start-time for our main service of the day, with contemporary music led by a band, groups for children of all ages and a creche. Our All-Age Service is held on the first Sunday of each month.
Our 6.30pm service is the most relaxed and informal of the day, with contemporary worship songs and a relaxed informal style.
We celebrate communion in at least one of our services every week: at 10.45am on the second Sunday of the month; at 6.30pm on the fourth Sunday of the month; and at 8.45am on every other Sunday.
