You don't have to look far in the life of St Luke's to find a story of someone whose life has been impacted by time away as a teenager. In recent years we have loved being able to run our youth summer camp and an annual youth weekend away.
After a pause for a year it was a joy in March to join as the Cornerstone Team to break of the normal weekly routines and head off a youth weekend away together. It was a time of fun, growing friendships, eating like royalty, adventures, and the chance to see what a life not ashamed of the gospel looks like from Romans chapter 12.
Some of the highlights included an afternoon on the sky trail at Holme Pierrepont Country Park, discovering what some of the spiritual gifts God has given to each of us, playing chicken eyes and human hungry hippos, and hearing the stories of what life following Jesus is like from some of the different leaders.
