New name for the plant: Living Hope Church Thurmaston

This past Sunday we formally announced the new name for our church plant taking place in Thurmaston later this year.

The planting team met to discuss what the new worshipping community should be called. We asked ourselves, what is it that Thurmaston needs most? In the midst of all that is going on around the world, the economic hardship, and the personal anxieties many will be facing, the answer felt pretty clear... HOPE!

As a church planting team, we wanted to be following the words of 1 Peter 3:15 and give a reason for the hope that we have. What is that we are hoping in as a team? Jesus. We're hoping in Jesus and the life that he offers. Life which is to the full, and life which is everlasting. With this living hope in mind, the team had landed on name.

We're particularly excited for this new name, as it really captures what the plant is all about. Sharing the hope that Jesus offers to people who desperately need it at this time.

Roger on the planting team says,

"I'm hoping that God will be with us, going ahead of us, guiding us each step of the way. I'm also hopeful for God's peace and healing for families living in Thurmaston".

If you'd like to hear some of the other things the team are hoping for, regarding the impact the church plant will have, then head over to the new Living Hope Church website.

Our prayer is that this new name, along with the new website, would continue to help us build up momentum for this exciting ministry.

If you would like to find out more about how you can get involved in the plant and the developing work of Living Hope Church Thurmaston, then speak to Steve Sweet or find details about prayer meetings and events on the website.
