St Luke's Church in Thurnby is currently offering two exciting full time opportunities to join the team: St Luke's Church Operations Director and Christian Community Cafe Manager for the HUB.

Operation Director
This is a senior role in our team, with responsibility for overseeing efficient and effective church operations in a way which enables the church to move from vision to reality. It would be ideal for someone with operations experience and with a passion for seeing things done well in the church. This strategic position will suit someone who enjoys responsibility as well as working as part of a team, has a passion for the gospel, and the skills to help us grow in our calling as a church. Find out more here.

Christian Community Cafe Manager
St Luke's Church in Thurnby is building a community cafe and centre in the heart of Thurnby Village in Leicestershire. The church is seeking a Community Cafe Manager who is passionate about giving back to the community, enjoys meeting people, and loves the idea of a community space that provides great hospitality. Previous cafe experience is not required, but a willingness to learn and a heart for helping those in need with great hospitality is essential.

The new cafe will be located in a refurbished building on the edge of Manor Park, and will offer a 50-cover cafe with adjoining rooms that can extend the space, as well as an aspect overlooking the park play area with additional tables outside. The cafe will be a positive hub for the whole community and will provide resources to help members of the local neighbourhood.

The role of the Community Cafe Manager will be to lead the launch of the cafe, develop a strong culture of friendliness and helpfulness, and ensure every customer enjoys great hospitality. The Manager will also play a key role in developing the menu and providing something for everyone in the neighbourhood.
